Course requirements:
To enrol in the Shift Boss Training Program at DJS Training Practitioner CC, participants must meet specific entry requirements to ensure they are adequately prepared for this advanced supervisory qualification. Applicants must currently be employed as a miner or have substantial underground mining experience, and they are also required to hold a valid Blasting Certificate issued in accordance with South African mining regulations. These prerequisites help ensure that learners have the necessary technical background and practical exposure to benefit fully from the training and successfully transition into supervisory and leadership roles within the mining industry.
Learners who successfully complete our programmes gain the applied competencies to consistently and effectively execute their duties.
They can then be appointed as Sub-Ordinate Managers under Reg. 2.15.1, opening doors to leadership and management opportunities across the mining industry
